The Truths about the Rapture. (INTRODUCTION)

Rapture is a word that has about 5 different meanings which are subject to the context in which the word is used.

1. It means ecstatic joy or delight; joyful ecstasy.

2. Often, raptures. an utterance or expression of ecstatic delight.

3. The carrying of a person to another place or sphere of existence.

4. The Rapture, Theology. the experience, anticipated by some fundamentalist Christians, of meeting Christ midway in the air upon his return to earth.

5. Archaic. the act of carrying off.

For the sake of this study, we will stick with the 4th meaning of rapture as mentioned above while making one or two references to the first and second definition above.

A lot of study has been done in time past by Bible Scholars and Theologians on the subject of the Rapture from the perspective of fundamental Christians. This work is not an attempt to credit nor discredit anybody as so many schools of thought exists about the Rapture. Hence, we will make the Holy Bible our standard source of information and book of reference in this study.

For every genuinely born again child of God who has confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior, the mention of the word rapture should bring great and ecstatic joy or delight to such an individual. This ought to be so because the Rapture is the culmination of our activities here on earth as we look forward daily in ernest hope and expectation for the fulfillment of the words of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Gospel according to John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

Based on other convincing words and promises of our Lord Jesus Christ as found in the scriptures (Matthew 5:3, 10; Matthew 25:34; John 14:3; Revelation 21:7) we know and are sure that great treasures, crowns and mansions awaits us in glory where he has gone to prepare a place for us. These promises and the thoughts of being with HIM in glory forever and ever is enough to trigger the ecstasy (joy or delight) with which we should look forward to that day when the Rapture shall take place.

Unfortunately, I’ve seen and heard so many people (including church goers) voice out their fears and uncertainties about the rapture. Questions such as when, how and why the rapture pops up over and over again. Other questions such as “Am I sure i will make the rapture?…. uncertainties of one’s salvation in Christ Jesus and their current stand in the faith or believe in HIM etc. all comes back to mind the moment the word ‘Rapture’ is mentioned.

This brings us to the necessity of settling all doubts in our hearts concerning our right-standing with our maker here on earth.  The concept of Rapture and the Truths about it can only be meaningful, well-understood and acceptable to hearts and lives that are ready to be raptured. If you know deep down in your heart that you are among the category of people who still question the genuineness of their salvation in Christ Jesus and therefore are not sure they will make it to heaven when HE comes to take us with HIM, this is an opportunity for you to get back right on track with JESUS. The same goes for all those reading these lines right now who have never had any encounter with the man called Jesus or even as much as heard about HIM, this is your golden opportunity, waste no time.

Jesus is saying to you right now that….”I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6. This is a very simple process. You simply need to pray this prayer in sincerity of heart because the bible says “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9.

Lord Jesus, I come to you with an open heart. I confess you today as my personal Lord and Savior; and I  believe in my heart that You are the Son of God and that God hath raised You from the dead that I might be saved completely. Thank You for all the sacrifices You’ve made for my sake. I invite You to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life from now on and forever more. Now I am sure that my name is written in the  book of Life and I look forward with Joy to Your second coming to take me with You to the home in glory which You have gone to prepare for all the saints. Thank You Jesus. Amen .

If you said the prayers above, it means we are now all on the same page, and can discuss heart to heart issues as concerning both our lives here on earth and the Truths about the Rapture. Prepare your questions down and get ready for the next mind-blowing episode on the truths about the Rapture. See you soon.

God Bless!
